We have two dogs: Scout and Hunter.
Scout joined our family in June of 2017. At the time, we lived in a different house and there was an old decrepit barn behind the house. Scout came out from under the barn one day, a starving flea-and-tick infested puppy, and when we couldn’t figure out where she came from she became part of our family.
Scout loves to play with other dogs. So we decided to find her a friend. In February of 2019 we adopted Hunter (previously named Thor) from his prior family. It took a good six months for the two to completely warm up to each other, but they’re best friends today.
Today, Scout is approaching five years old and weighs perhaps 50 lbs. Hunter is probably approaching seven years old and weighs perhaps 65 lbs.
The couch in my office is the official dog couch. Both Scout and Hunter love to lay in the sun. They’re great off-the-leash and love to go hiking. While they’re great off-the-leash, if I think we’ll encounter other hikers or dogs I keep them on leash when hiking. They both love the beach. Here Hunter is enjoying a morning walk on the beach. They love to lay in the sun in the back yard. I take them hiking pretty regularly. They enjoy nothing more than a morning hike. Here they are once more doing their favorite thing: out for a hike.
Looks like a great friendship!
